Verification
Automated verification of the result of each module included 430 rules to check the parameter ranges, cardinality, nullity, etc. Each module performed supplementary verification as explained in the following sections of this chapter.
Validation
Validation of results with the literature included the periods returned by the pipeline, the classifications of variability types, assessments of completeness and contamination of various sets of candidates. Validations of different published variable star catalogues are explained in the corresponding sections.
