In IDU a dedicated task creates AstroElementary records for each CCD row and time interval following the
model described in Section 3.3.6. These records contain the core image parameters required
for the astrometric and photometric solutions, i.e. the observation time and G-band flux of the source in each
window plus the across-scan position for 2D windows, along with their corresponding formal uncertainties. Information
on the quality of the solution (degrees-of-freedom and goodness-of-fit) is included with extensive
flags to report processing issues.
